Man sentenced for starting fire in vacant Fulton home

A man is facing four years behind bars for starting a suspicious fire inside a vacant home off Vine Street in Fulton.

The fire damaged the flood and the wall studs back in April, and the home was being remodeled at the time.

Mark Aungerer was sentenced last week for second degree arson.

Investigators believe he’s connected to another incident next door that happened last December.

They also think he started a fire inside his mother’s house more than 10 years ago.
