Columbia Police remove prescription drop-off bin

Columbia Police are no longer taking people’s expired medications.

On Friday, CPD said the prescription disposal bin has been removed from the lobby of the police station due to EPA and DNR regulations.

The City of Columbia continues to offer residents a household hazardous waste collection on Lakeview Avenue on the first and third Saturdays of the month through November 21, excluding July 4.

Medicines should never be flushed down any drain.
