Depositions begin in drowning case
On Monday morning, ABC 17 News was informed that depositions were underway for the Brandon Ellingson case.
Ellingson was the 20-year-old Iowa man who drowned while in Highway Patrol custody at the Lake of the Ozarks.
ABC 17 News has done investigations into the case, learning the trooper did not follow protocol before Ellingson fell overboard.
Sources said Trooper Anthony Piercy’s deposition is Monday.
Monday morning at Midwest Litigation Services in Jefferson City, ABC 17 News saw a Highway Patrol car and Iowa license plates.
