Woman arrested after threatening clerk

An Illinois woman could be facing charges after allegedly threatening a Columbia motel worker.

Police were called out Thursday morning to the Red Roof Inn for a report of a an assault with a firearm.

Investigators say Brigitte Banks-Sims demanded a staff member move her to a different room. When they told her no, Banks-Sims allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim.

Officers arrested her a short time later outside the motel for armed criminal action and felony assault.

NO one was injured in the incident.
