Abducted child found safe in Nebraska

An abducted child was found safe with his mother Friday in Omaha, Nebraska.

The child, 2-year-old Colton Lee Dominquez, and his mother, Billie Jo Linhart, were taken into custody without incident by the Omaha Police Department’s Child Victim/Sexual Assault unit.

Jefferson City Police tell us they received an anonymous tip Friday afternoon about their whereabouts.

We’re told arrangements are being made to get Colton back to his guardian.

Linhart will reportedly be taken to the Cole County Jail.

Lt. Steve Weaver confirms the abduction happened May 17. Police had no information to go from, but received new details this week and sent out a release Thursday.

Police believed the child was in danger based on the mother’s past behavior.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol also issued an Endangered Person advisory.
