Fire chief hurt in crash with ATV at Lake of the Ozarks

ABC 17 News has confirmed the fire chief in Sunrise Beach is out of the hospital after getting hurt in a car crash over Memorial Day weekend just south of Lake Ozark.

Dennis Reilly, 57, was taken to Lake Regional in an ambulance Sunday night with moderate injuries.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Adam Williams, 27, of Four Seasons, was driving an ATV in the wrong direction on the shoulder of Highway MM just south of the toll bridge.

Reilly swerved, trying to avoid hitting the ATV.

Williams was arrested on second-degree assault, plus careless and imprudent driving.
