Man posing as maintenance worker robs Sedalia store

Sedalia police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store Sunday afternoon.

Sergeant D.L. Keltner said officers arrived at the Tiger Eagle Stop on East Broadway Boulevard at 3:50 p.m. The clerk there told officers a bald, black man in light blue, striped overalls came into the store, telling the clerk he was there to do maintenance on one of the store’s utilities. During the interaction, the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

Police say the robbery suspect got into a black, full-sized SUV with white writing on the driver’s side door, heading eastbound on Highway 50. Sgt. Keltner said a second suspect drove the SUV away from the store.
