Suspect wanted in central Columbia shooting

Columbia Police are investigating a shooting at 9th and Rogers streets that occurred at about midnight Wednesday.

One shot was fired near the Blue Note on 9th Street. Several shell casings were also found nearby at 9th and Rogers.

Police told ABC 17 the suspect got kicked out of the Blue Note for fighting.

That men then apparently assaulted the bouncers, showed a gun, and threatened to shoot them.

Blue Note managers told ABC 17 News the bouncers were not injured during the assault.

Shortly after, he got into a red SUV and fired one shot before taking off.

Police are looking for a black man with a lighter complexion, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.

So far there is no damage or injuries reported.

The Blue Note owners told ABC 17 News they are disappointed this happened but glad everyone is okay.
