Multiple agencies searching for dangerous man after domestic assault

Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a dangerous man after they say he brutally beat a woman Monday night.

Brandon Terrell is wanted in Boone County for domestic assault and kidnapping and in Cooper County for domestic assault and stalking.

The warrant out of Boone County stems from an incident Monday night, when a woman told sheriff’s deputies Terrell drove her from a home on Prathersville Road and beat and choked her in his car. She said she managed to escape from his on Oakland Gravel Road but he got out and chased her. She ran to a nearby house where she asked them to call for help.

Detective Tom O’Sullivan with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said this was one of the most extreme cases of domestic violence the department has seen lately.

“She was beaten badly. It’s disturbing,” he said.

This wasn’t the first time Terrell had been arrested, or even faced charges for domestic assault. His criminal past goes back 10 years and ranges from attempted burglary, stalking, violating protection orders, and several cases of domestic assault. He was also released from prison only four months ago.

Because of the severity of the assault and his extensive criminal history, a judge ordered Terrell to be held without bond.

“When we find and arrest him, and we will, he will sit in jail without a chance to post bail,” O’Sullivan said.

Deputies said he is considered dangerous and anyone who sees him should not approach him, but call 911.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries, but her condition isn’t known at this time.
