CPD steps up seat belt enforcement

The Columbia Police Department is stepping up its seat belt enforcement on the Click It or Ticket statewide campaign.

CPD will be joining efforts with statewide law enforcement Tuesday to get more drivers to buckle up and save more lives.

Statistics show 21% of Missouri drivers are still not wearing seatbelts. 66% of people killed in crashes in Missouri were not wearing them in the past year.
