Military planes seen flying over Columbia Sunday part of training exercise
ABC 17 News received numerous phone calls and emails Sunday from viewers saying they saw multiple black military style planes flying low over Columbia around 11:30 Sunday morning.
The photo above was sent from a Columbia viewer.
ABC 17 News put in calls to Air Traffic Control in Springfield and Columbia and was told the planes were C-130s that were involved in a training exercise.
Officials said it was part of standard military training and that it was nothing to be alarmed about.
