Two arrested in Moberly, accused of having tools to make counterfeit money

Two Moberly residents are in jail, charged with having tools to produce counterfeit money and possession of methamphetamine.

Benjamin Gorham, 19, and Lena Kalinowski, 32, were arrested Saturday after the Brookfield Police Department called the Moberly Police Department overnight, saying they had arrested someone with counterfeit money with ties to Moberly.

On Saturday morning, Moberly police and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant on County Road 1330, just north of Moberly.

Police said they found items that are used to make counterfeit bills and and methamphetamine inside the home.

Gorham and Kalinowski are being held at the Randolph County Justice Center on a $45,000 bond.

Moberly detectives are continuing the investigation with the Brookfield Police Department.
