Driver arrested in deadly chain reaction crash near the Lake of the Ozarks

Two people are dead and one truck driver is facing possible charges after a chain reaction crash near Lake of the Ozarks.

The accident happened on Highway 54 at around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday near Route W.

Troopers say a semi hit another car, which caused a chain reaction crash involving eight vehicles.

Robin Dinwiddie, 50, and her daughter Kenda Oleary, 27, both of Eldon, were killed at the scene. They were in the first vehicle that was hit by the semi.

The driver of the truck that slammed into their car, Daniel Burch, 62, of Elizabeth, Ill., was arrested on two counts of second-degree involuntary manslaughter, along with careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
