Warming trend continues this week

Temperatures will be seasonable through the weekend with highs in the 60s again Sunday. This warm up is being aided by an area of high pressure to the south which is rotating in southerly air.

A strong southerly flow will continue into Monday and Tuesday even as this high pressure moves further to the east. Temperatures will reach near 70 by Monday, then highs will reach the mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will stay in the 70s through the entire work week before a cold front moves through on Friday.

Along with warmer temperatures southerly winds will also bring moisture into Mid-Missouri. This moisture along with multiple upper level disturbances will bring storm chances each day this week. The best chance of storms will be Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the cold front expected to move through Friday.
