Showers & T-Storms through early Friday
A line of showers and t-storms will move into the northwestern counties of Mid-Missouri from 4-7 AM Thursday as a cold front moves in. These will spread southeast to Columbia by 8 AM, Jefferson City 9 AM and the Lake of the Ozarks to I-44 10AM to noon. As the line moves southeast, it will weaken and showers are expected to taper off.
The frontal boundary will stall just south of HWY 54 in the afternoon. There is a chance that a few t-storms could develop south of the front from late afternoon into early evening. If these storms develop, they could become severe with damaging wind and large hail the primary threats through Thursday evening.
Another wave of low pressure will ride in from the southwest along the front increasing our rain chances Thursday night. Periods of rain and thunder are expected into Friday morning, ending by mid-afternoon.
