Crews extinguish weekend building fire in Sunrise Beach

Fire crews at the Lake of the Ozarks battled an early Saturday morning fire in Sunrise Beach.

Crews responded to 151 Cam Mo Drive just after 6:30 a.m. where a large fire engulfed a workshop and was threatening to spread into the house.

The people who were home at the time were able to evacuate before the fire department arrived.

Firefighters contained the blaze to workshop without major damage to the house.

Sunrise Beach crews were helped by Gravois, Mid-County, Northwest, and Versailles Rural fire departments.
