Suspect hides in pond

MU police found a suspect hiding in a pond after an early morning chase Friday.

MU police say they stopped William Spark for a traffic violation. They were getting ready to arrest him for DWI and he allegedly took off running.

They found him hiding in a lake or pond in the 900 block of Chinaberry off Old 63 South.

Officers were able to convince him to come out. Medics were called because of the concern of hypothermia.

Stark was taken to the hospital and is now facing charges.
