Employee pulls gun on customer

A Columbia man was arrested after pulling a pistol on a customer at Columbia Car Rental on Rangeline Monday.

Columbia police said the employee and customer did know each other.

The employee, Howard Callen, was arrested and has since bonded out of the Boone Co. Jail.

ABC 17 News spoke with the victim who had the gun allegedly pointed at her.

She said the fight was over a custody dispute.

She said she was afraid for her life and wants something to be done to Callen.

“The original allegation was that someone had pointed a gun. Initially we were unable to find the gun, however, further investigation and review of on-sight surveillance revealed a possible location and we were able to track it down,” said Sgt. Michael Hestir with the Columbia Police Department.

Hestir was unable to comment on if the gun was loaded and where it was found.

No one was hurt during the argument.
