More rain late Wednesday, heavy rain possible

Another round of showers & t-storms will move through Mid-Missouri late Wednesday afternoon and overnight. Rain expected to develop by late afternoon in western Missouri and spread northeast through the evening.

Showers & t-storms are likely Wednesday night with heaviest rain from near HWY 54 to I-44 where up to 2 inches is possible through Thursday morning. Flooding of low water crossings and small creeks and rivers is possible near I-44 where rainfall amounts are expected to be highest.

There is a slight severe risk mainly along and south of I-44 with the primary threats damaging winds and large hail Wednesday evening. Rain will taper off and end by early Thursday morning as cooler, drier air moves in.
