Columbia Police release results of DWI enforcement
Columbia Police Wednesday released results of their drunk driving enforcement from Saturday through Tuesday.
CPD partnered with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and arrested 11 people for driving under the influence.
CPD held a sobriety checkpoint Saturday at Locust and Waugh between 10:10 and 12:03 a.m.
161 drivers were stopped and 3 were arrested for DWI on Saturday night.
On early Sunday, CPD held a checkpoint at Locust and 4th Street between 12:42 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. They stopped 95 drivers, and 4 were arrested for DWI.
Another 4 DWI arrests were made separate from the checkpoints.
