Two correctional officers assaulted, Fulton Diagnostic Center temporarily locked down
Two correctional officers were injured Friday night after being assaulted by an inmate at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center.
One officer has minor injuries and the other has moderate. Both are in good condition as of Monday afternoon.
According to Communications Director David Owen, the prison went on lockdown on Saturday as a safety precaution.
When a lockdown is initiated, inmate privileges are limited and they’re usually restricted to their cells.
FRDC began lifting the lockdown Monday and it is expected to be back to normal operations by the end of the week.
