Cooler Tuesday, Rain Wednesday

A cold front moves through by early Tuesday morning leaving us with temperatures more like mid-March. A cool breeze will increase from the northeast up to 20 mph early Tuesday as temperatures hover near 50, only climbing to the upper 50s to near 60 during the afternoon. Tuesday night will also be seasonal with low temperatures in the mid 30s.

An area of low pressure aloft in Mexico will track to the northeast and move to our south Wednesday and Thursday, spreading moisture northward into the Lake of the Ozarks by early Wednesday afternoon. Light rain is expected to develop and spread north to near I-70 by Wednesday night. The best chance of rain is south of I-70 where a tenth to three tenths of an inch of rain is possible through Thursday morning. Farther north, a few light showers can’t be ruled out Wednesday night through Thursday morning with rainfall amounts under a tenth of an inch. Temperatures will stay cool with afternoon highs in the low to mid 50s through Thursday.
