Man arrested for break-in at Boone Co. convenience store

A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly breaking into a Boone County convenience store.

26-year-old James Dubey apparently broke into the Kwik Store at 5701 E. St. Charles Road early Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to an alarm at 12:32 a.m. and found the store’s front glass door smashed.

Detectives learned Dubey was involved and searched his house, where they found property believed to be taken in the burglary.

Dubey was arrested for burglary, stealing, and property damage, and his bail has not yet been set.
