Whiskey Wild Saloon set to re-open, has big plans for late March
The Whiskey Wild Saloon in Columbia is open again, but not to the public just yet.
It’s now being run by Chad Martin, who was running Whiskey Wild before CoMo Entertainment owner Ben Bradley took over.
Whiskey Wild Saloon closed its doors months ago under Bradley, who was accused of not paying some of his employees and distributors.
Bradley was in court again Monday for two felony charges of passing bad checks. Both cases have been continued.
Employee Rynda Nichols said she left after not being paid, but came back when she learned Martin took it back over.
“Whenever I found out Chad was taking ownership, I knew immediately that I wanted to contact him,” Nichols said.
She said so far, things have gone smoothly working private events and that Whiskey Wild has big plans ahead for later this month.
“It’s a grand re-opening,” she said. “We’re going to have a lot of local bands and stuff.”
That grand re-opening will be for the public and it’s scheduled for later in March.
Nichols said Martin will be running things much differently than Bradley did.
“It’s going to be a lot stricter as far as, free drinks is a no,” she said. “[We will] be monitoring IDs very closely, things like that.”
But perhaps the most exciting thing for the employees who are now back at Whiskey Wild:
“We are actually getting paid,” Nichols said.
ABC 17 News reached out to Chad Martin Monday to find out more information, but did not hear back.
