Bridge work to begin in Howard Co.

Work is scheduled to start this week in Howard County on two specific bridges.

The Adams Fork bridge on Route E west of Route 5 in Fayette will be replaced, and the Moniteau Creek bridge on Route A north of Route CC will get a new deck.

APAC-Missouri will complete the work.

Crews will set up signs along the detour route for the Route E bridge replacement this week.

The bridge will close on March 16, and is expected to open by the end of June.

Drivers will need to head south on Route 5, west on route J, north on Route 87, and east on Route E as a detour around the westbound Route E bridge.

Drivers needing to head eastbound on Route E should head west on Route E, south on Route 87, east on Route J, and north on Route 5.

APAC plans to close the bridge on Route A at Moniteau Creek on March 23, weather permitting.

Those wanting to take northbound Route A will need to travel west on Route W, east on Route 124, and north on Route A.

Those wanting to drive south on Route A will need to head west on Route 124, east on Route W, and south on Route A.
