Police confirm at least one shot fired at liquor store in north Columbia

Columbia police shutdown Ballenger Lane in north Columbia Sunday just after 10 p.m. following reports of shots fired.

A police officer was seen taking photos of the awning of Arena Liquor from the rooftop of the business.

Officers on the scene told ABC 17 News they recovered one shell casing on Ballenger Lane. The road was re-opened around 11:15 p.m.

Officers told crews ABC 17 News they did not have any further information at the moment, but they are continuing their investigation.
