Mid-Missouri woman arrested for child porn
A Rocheport woman was arrested for child porn Wednesday.
47-year-old Marjorie Newell was investigated by the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force after authorities learned she was talking with a St. Louis mother who arranged for her 14-year-old daughter to meet with Newell and a man for sex.
Newell admitted to investigators she had photos of children that the man sent to her through text messages to her cell phone.
A forensic examiner determined the photos on Newell’s phone were of several children under 14 engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Newell was arrested for first degree child pornography and has bonded out the Boone Co. Jail.
