Crews investigating Columbia apartment fire
Columbia fire crews are investigating what caused an apartment fire in central Columbia Wednesday.
The fire happened just before 7:00 Wednesday morning at 306 Hartley Court near William and Hinkson in the Stephens neighborhood.
When crews got there, they found the fire in the attic and put it out in less than 10 minutes.
Crews were on scene for two hours trying to go through the damage to save some items.
Those who lived in the building were all able to get out safely.
Right now it is still unclear how much the damage will cost or what caused the fire.
