Boonville man indicted for decade of sex crimes

50-year-old Raymond Edwards Stevens was arrested last Thursday by the Boonville Police and Highway Patrol for an outstanding warrant.

That warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation of sex crimes that Stevens allegedly committed over the course of several years.

When Stevens was arrested Thursday he was charged with eighteen counts of sex crimes.

That includes fifteen counts of statutory sodomy in the second degree and three counts of attempted deviant sexual assault with male children under 14.

Stevens is also facing four felony sex crimes in Howard County, as well.
