Falling temperatures and weekend snow

An arctic front will move through Saturday morning bringing a brief period of light snow 7-10 AM east of HWY 63 with little to no accumulation. Northerly winds will increase to 15-25 mph Saturday afternoon with falling temperatures into the teens to low 20s by evening with mostly clear skies.

Overnight lows will dip into the single digits with wind chills dropping below zero by early Sunday morning as clouds move in. Light snow will develop from mid-morning Sunday through early afternoon, spreading to the southeast and ending by early evening. Light accumulation of 1-2 inches is expected in most of Mid-Missouri with up to 3 inches south of I-70. Sunday looks bitterly cold with daytime temperatures only in the lower teens and wind chills near zero.
