Woman found dead in Lake of the Ozarks
A woman was found dead in the Lake of the Ozarks Thursday morning after apparently jumping off the Community Toll Bridge near Lake Ozark.
A passerby saw the woman crossing the guard rail and called police.
When a trooper arrived, he saw her body floating in the lake near the bridge.
55-year-old Karen Holtz was pronounced dead after the fire department recovered her body from the lake on the16 mile marker. Her family was notified shortly after.
Police say Hotlz was from Kaiser.
The Lake Ozark Police Department is looking into the death as a suicide, but are still trying to determine if any other factors were involved in the death.
