Two arrested after pursuit crosses county lines

A vehicle pursuit that crossed from Boone County into Callaway County ended with two arrests Tuesday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m. a Boone County deputy was on patrol in the area of Rangeline Road and Richland Road, east of Columbia. The license plate reader in his car alerted the deputy that a car nearby was stolen.

The deputy tried to stop the car, but the driver didn’t stop. The ensuing chase went along county roads east into Callaway County. At one point, the suspect car hit a spike strip laid down by a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The car came to a stop, and law enforcement arrested the driver and passenger in the car. The driver, Shawn Ingram, was arrested for tampering, resisting arrest and driving while suspended. The passenger, Rachel Warren, was arrested for tampering and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Ingram, 42, has had his bond set at $13,500. Warren, 18, has had her bond set at $9,500
