Portion of Jefferson City street closed Wednesday

Jefferson City drivers will have to deal with some lane closures Wednesday.

The 1300 block of Monroe St. will be limited to local traffic only starting at 8:00 a.m. and lasting through 5:00 p.m.

Jefferson City Public Works said crews will be replacing a water main on the street.

They also ask drivers to avoid the area if possible.
