CPD looking for two suspects following armed home invasion on Alpine Dr.

Two suspects are on the run after assaulting and robbing a man on Alpine Drive in Columbia.

The call came out as a robbery with a gun just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Police said two armed black men with bandanas covering their faces came in the apartment and demanded money.

Police told ABC 17 News the two armed men assaulted one man. Officers said the victim was struck in the mouth with a gun. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital for minor injuries. No one else in the home was injured.

The two suspects took an undisclosed amount of money fled the scene.

It’s unknown what led to the assault or if the victim and suspects know each other.

Suspect number one is described as a black man, approximately six feet tall and a slender build.

The second suspect is described as a black man, approximately six feet tall and a heavier build.

As of Sunday, there were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
