Guard shack destroyed by fire in Jefferson City

Investigators are still looking for a cause up in flames outside the Old Church Farm prison in Cole County near Jefferson City.

The Jefferson City Fire Department got a call around 8:15 Thursday night off Highway 179 about 20 minutes northwest of downtown.

Crews had everything under control within about 10 minutes, but they stayed on scene past midnight to help officials with the investigation.
