Winter weather Sunday

A winter storm to the west has brought steady rainfall to Missouri for Saturday. Rain will continue into Saturday night as the system approaches Missouri, but winter weather will follow for Sunday.

Temperatures overnight Saturday will only cool down by a few degrees. Areas south of I-70 will see mainly rain into Sunday morning as temperatures stay in the mid 30s. North of I-70 though temperatures will slip into the low 30s, which will cause a rain/snow mix during the overnight hours.

The system will move through Missouri on Sunday along with a cold front which will cause temperatures during the day Sunday to fall. As temperatures fall into the upper 20s and low 30s across Mid-Missouri Sunday afternoon, precipitation will changeover into all snow. Snow showers will last through Sunday evening, but taper off by Monday morning.
