Man found guilty of child sex crimes in Phelps County
A Mountain Grove man was found guilty in Phelps County Court last week of charges stemming from the sexual assault of a child.
55-year-old David Hufstedler is charged with 2 counts of first degree statutory sodomy.
Hufstedler waived his right to a jury.
Prosecutors said Hufstedler sexually abused a six-year-old child two times in 2010 and 2011.
Hufstedler will be in court again on March 12 for sentencing. He faces 10 to 30 years or life in prison on each count. He’ll have to serve 85% of his sentence.
