Lake area house fire under investigation

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a Monday morning fire near the Lake of the Ozarks.

The fire was reported reported around 8:00 a.m. off Chihuahua Lane near Spring Cove Road in Sunrise Beach.

The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District had everything under control less than 10 minutes later, so extra help wasn’t needed.

The fire damaged one room, but there was also smoke damage throughout the rest of the mobile home.
