Warming temperatures for the weekend

Our pleasant winter weather continues as we head into the weekend. Temperatures will be chilly Saturday morning but top off in the upper 40s by afternoon with a westerly breeze. Clouds will increase Saturday night as a cold front approaches.

Forecast models are taking the low pressure area through Illinois early Sunday morning with a trailing cold front which will move through mid-Missouri early in the day. Most of the moisture with the system will stay to our east but a few light rain showers can’t be ruled out for eastern Missouri. It looks like most of mid-Missouri will stay dry with passing clouds and mild temperatures Sunday.

High temperatures will reach into the lower 50s Sunday with partly sunny skies by afternoon and winds from the west-northwest up to 15 mph.
