Moniteau Co. man pleads guilty to charges after chasing woman with bolt cutters

A man accused of chasing a woman with bolt cutters in Moniteau County pleaded guilty to 2 counts of 2nd degree assault in court Friday.

35-year-old Matthew Hamilton was also charged with two counts of armed criminal action, but those were dropped.

Hamilton was sentenced to 5 years in prison for the incident that happened on March 30.

Hamilton told officers he was high on synthetic drugs at the time.
