Columbia man threatens neighbor with baseball bat

A Columbia man was arrested and is now back on the streets after police said he threatened to beat his neighbor with a baseball bat.

26-year-old Charles Kelly was arrested Tuesday in the 4300 block of Rice Road.

Investigators said Kelly was mad over his neighbor making an animal complaint.

Kelly went to her home and threatened to beat her if he found out it was her who complained.

Kelly then apparently broke the window in her front door.

He has since posted his $1,000 bond.
