CoMo Entertainment owner Ben Bradley no-shows for court

CoMo Entertainment owner Ben Bradley was due in court Monday morning for one of many lawsuits filed against his company, but he was a no-show.

ABC 17 News first broke the story back in October. Two brides claim they paid for party buses on their wedding day, but the buses never showed and they never got refunds.

Since then, multiple lawsuits have been filed and an investigation is underway by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.

The hearing was scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Boone County Courthouse. It was regarding the lawsuit with Midway Communications Security.

Because Bradley didn’t show up for the second time in a row, the judge filed a default judgement, meaning she ruled in favor of Midway Communications due to failure of action on Bradley’s end.

Bradley will now have to pay the company more than $600.

In an October interview, Bradley claimed everyone who was owed money by CoMo Entertainment would have their refunds within weeks.

“If any of them didn’t, you can bring them with you and I’ll have cash for them at that point and I’ll pay them live on the air,” Bradley told ABC 17’s Jillian Fertig in an October interview.

But two and a half months later, customers of Columbia Party Bus and former employees of Whiskey Wild, Bradley’s other business, said they still haven’t seen a dime.

They also said they haven’t seen Bradley himself.

ABC 17’s Jillian Fertig called Bradley on his cell phone to find out why he didn’t show up Monday, but the number was no longer in service.

Bradley has also lost one civil lawsuit. He now owes a former employee $1,000.

This is on top of an ongoing investigation by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.

In November, there were five complaints filed against Bradley at the AG’s office. Last week, that number jumped to nine.

Because the investigation is ongoing, the office can’t comment right now.
