Slightly warmer weekend, wintry mix Sunday
The weekend will start off with sunny skies and a very cold morning Saturday with temperatures in the single digits early. A southerly breeze will bring temperatures up to near 30 in the afternoon but the breeze will make it feel more like the teens.
Clouds increase Saturday night as moisture moves in from the south. Temperatures will start off in the 20s Sunday morning, climbing into the low-to-mid 30s in the afternoon as light rain develops. Rain will change to freezing rain as temperatures fall below freezing Sunday evening, mixing and changing to snow overnight.
A glazing of ice is possible Sunday evening through early Monday morning with the best chance of ice south of HWY 54. A dusting of snow is possible by Monday morning with the best chance north of I-70. Roads could be slick for the Monday morning commute.
