Firefighter injured in Callaway County house fire
Firefighters put out a house fire Wednesday night in Callaway County.
It happened near Calwood at 3827 State Road JJ, which is close to I-70.
The fire was contained to three rooms of a double wide, which was not occupied at the time.
One firefighter was taken away in an ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The homeowners told ABC 17 News while the fire was devastating, they were happy no one was home at the time.
North Callaway and Central Callaway fire departments responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire and damage estimate was still unknown, and the state fire marshal’s office is investigating.
Callaway County Sheriff Dennis Crane told ABC 17 News there is nothing suspicious about the fire at this time.
