Suspect arrested in Jefferson City chase

Jefferson City Police have arrested a suspect in a Tuesday morning car chase.

21-year-old Terrian Davis was arrested Monday after a chase that ended after Davis hit a deer on Highway 50 in southeast Jefferson City last Tuesday. Officers tried stopping the car around 12:30 a.m. near Hutton Lane and Louis Circle.

Davis ignored them and took off, going the wrong way down Highway 50 eastbound before hitting the deer and losing control. After crashing, Davis ran away from the scene, leaving two passengers inside the car. They went to the hospital after complaining of minor injuries.

Davis is in the Cole County Jail pending charges of careless driving, driving on a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and 2nd degree assault.
