Columbia murder suspect appears in court for 2013 killing

A man charged with first degree murder in a 2013 killing appeared in Boone County court Monday.

James Thompson is accused of killing Brian Daniels in April 2013.

Daniels was found dead in his home on April 10, and Thompson reportedly found his body. Thompson was arrested three days later for having and selling Daniels’ property.

Thompson allegedly forged Daniels’ will to make him the sole beneficiary.
