Sober Driver Program provided on New Year’s Eve

The Jefferson City Police Department and Fetchel Beverage are working together to provide the Sober Driver Program on New Year’s Eve.

The Sober Driver Program provides taxi rides for those who do not have a designated driver.

You can get a taxi ride from a business that provides alcohol by the drink in the Capital City, or private parties that have tickets in advance.

You can call 573-636-7102 for a taxi ride from Checker Cab if you have a sober driver ticket.

Tickets for private parties can be obtained at Fetchel Beverage at 425 West Elm, 573-636-5161, or the Jefferson City Police Department through Sgt. Doug Ruediger by calling 573-634-6397.

All sober driver tickets are valued at $10.00, and any costs above that will fall on the rider.
