Man gets away after invading and robbing a Columbia home

Saturday, Columbia police are searching for a man in a home invasion robbery that got away.

Police said they responded to the 4800 block of Moniteau Court Friday night.

The victim told police they heard a knock at the front door. The victim said they answered the door and a man forced his way into the home. The victim said the man then took out a knife and demanded money, according to police.

Police said the man took an undisclosed amount of money and ran off in an unknown direction.

No one was hurt and the investigation is ongoing.

Police describe the suspect as a black male about 30 years old. They say he was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and jeans.
