Rain returns Friday evening

Skies will be partly sunny Friday morning with highs Friday afternoon in the low 50s. Then a cold front will approach Mid-Missouri Friday night, bringing rain into the area for the weekend.

Friday evening a few showers will develop along the front. Spotty showers will continue through the overnight hours and into Saturday morning. A light wintry mix is possible Saturday morning, but precipitation will be mainly rain. Rain will come to an end Saturday afternoon, leaving behind much cooler weather. Highs by Sunday will be in the upper 30s.
