Sony cancels The Interview premiere

Sony canceled the premiere of The Interview on Wednesday. In the movie, Seth Rogan and James Franco plot the assassination of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un.

This comes hours after several movie theaters said they would not be playing the movie.

So, Sony decided they would cancel it altogether.

Before the news came in, ABC 17 spoke to movie goers who had already seen the movie at a premiere in Texas.

Another woman who saw the film, played by Seth Rogan and James Franco, can’t see why the threat was made.

The threat said quote, “The world will be full of fear. Remember the 11th of September, 2001. We recommend you keep yourself distant from the places at that time. If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.”

It is still unclear if the threat is credible.

Franco and Rogan have also canceled their appearances for the movie.

There has been no new release date for the film.
